Blood pool imaging of the nude mouse, Amplified fluorescent image of vasculature in the nude mouse lower limbs.

Time-course NIR-II fluorescence images of blood flow in the nude mouse after injection of Ag2S QDs  (1 mg/mL, 0.2 mL)

The Ag2S were preferentially associated with the lumen peripheries of vessels and were distributed throughout larger vessels into smaller vessels. Moreover, the minimal autofluorescence and low absorption and scattering of NIR-II emission afforded maximal penetration depth for deep tissue imaging with high feature fidelity.

High-order branches of blood vessels were well defined with high spatial resolution, even a small vessel was unambiguously observed without using a zoom-in lens.
